Chaos Dragon, Dagashi Kashi, Divine Gate, Haruchika and Shomin Sample Listed for Pre-Order At Online Retailers

Updated listings at online retailers, specifically Anime-On-Line and Amazon UK, have revealed that a selection of previously cancelled FUNimation related titles, as well as potentially an unannounced FUNimation related title, have been listed for pre-order with placeholder dates and tentative box arts.

Chaos Dragon, Dagashi Kashi, Divine Gate, Haruchika and Shomin Sample have all been listed for Blu-Ray and (where possible) DVD Release; each of which listed as being published by FUNimation. Previously, before the Crunchyroll X FUNimation partnership (and before SONY acquired FUNimation), Anime Limited was distributing FUNimation titles on behalf of FUNimation within the UK and majority (if not all) of these newly listed titles were announced as coming to the UK.

Unfortunately none of these titles made it and they were presumably cancelled – with some speculating it being as a result of the Crunchyroll x FUNimation partnership as well as SONY obtaining FUNimation. Regardless we can speculate all day; but these titles are listed and available to pre-order right now from online retailers within the UK.

It’s not known who the distributor is but they don’t look to be Sony Pictures Home Entertainment releases, as DVD and Blu-Ray formats are being released separately whereas currently released Sony related FUNimation titles are combo packs; and the tentative box arts are similar to the FUNimation titles distributed by Anime Limited.

The current release schedule for these titles is as follows:

26th November 2018:

17th December 2018:

An official announcement for these titles from any distributor, be it Anime Limited or FUNimation, has yet to be announced but with MCM London Comic Con taking place this weekend we may hear some news shortly.
