Android 17 To Be Added as DLC For Dragon Ball FighterZ

Dragon Ball FighterZ is soon to receive a familiar face as a playable character as Bandai Namco Entertainment, in partnership with developers Arc System Works, have announced that Android 17 will be the latest addition to the popular 2.5D fighting game.

Introduced as part of the Androids arc in the Dragon Ball Z timeline Android 17 is one of Doctor Gero’s generations that was created to destroy Goku and during ‘Future Trunks’ timeline was a popular foe when teamed up with Android 18. Those familiar with Dragon Ball Super will know that Android 17, who was also saved as a result of the Dragon Balls, will know that he joins the Tournament of Power in order to protect Universe 7 from being erased.

Although Android 17 does appear as an assist-character-of-sorts for Android 18, which is based off Dragon Ball Z character designs, this Android 17 DLC is based on the character from Dragon Ball Super; and as such appears and acts differently to the heartless android.

Android 17 will be available this week for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC version of Dragon Ball FighterZ while the Nintendo Switch version of the DLC will be available on the same day as the Nintendo Switch game. Just like previous DLC content Android 17 can be purchased individually or is included as part of the Season Pass.
