New JUMP FORCE Details Revealed; Including Closed Beta, Collector’s Edition and New Characters

Bandai Namco Entertainment have been relatively busy at this years Tokyo Game Show and EGX events as the publisher have not only revealed four new playable characters from popular SHONEN JUMP franchises for the ‘cross-over’ fighting game JUMP FORCE; but the game will also feature four original characters created by Dragon Ball author Akira Toriyama. But wait; there is more, as a Collector’s Edition variation of JUMP FORCE has also been confirmed alongside Closed Beta event details.

Original Characters:

These new characters will place an impotant role within the storyline of JUMP FORCE and the artwork have been revealed in a new trailer.

New Confirmed Characters:

Two characters from Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter were confirmed; each of which retain abilities and attacks originally seen in the manga from SHONEN JUMP.

Yu Yu Hakusho

• Yusuke
• Toguro

Hunter x Hunter:

• Kirua
• Kurapika

Collector’s Edition:

JUMP FORCE will be released physically on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as such fans can expect a Collector’s Edition release of the game which combines a copy of the game along with a Season Pass for additional characters as well as a selection of physical items. A list of contents included in this Collector’s Edition release are as follows:

• A copy of JUMP FORCE.
• Season Pass, which includes 9 additional characters, that are also purchasable separately.
• 30cm exclusive Diorama of Naruto, Luffy and Goku.
• Jump Force Steel Book
• 3 Art Boards (28x28cm)

In addition to the Collector’s Edition details Bandai Namco Entertainment have revealed that anyone who pre-orders the game will receive access to a new lobby vehicle, which is Freiza’s transport pod as seen from the Namek Saga of Dragon Ball Z, as well as three exclusive avatar costumes that have been taken from One Piece, Naruto and Dragon Ball Z.

Release Window:

For the longest time Bandai Namco Entertainment have said that JUMP FORCE would be released in 2019; and now the publisher have confirmed that it will be released during February 2019 with an exact release date to be announced in the coming months.

Closed Beta:

A Closed Beta event will take place on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 next month and registrations will only be available via the Bandai Namco Entertainment EP!C Rewards Section. Registration for the beta will close on 7th October 2018 with codes being issued shortly after.

JUMP FORCE is scheduled to be released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC during February 2019 with exact release details to be announced at a later date.
