ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER Trailer Introduces Two Original Character & Story Details

Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment have today released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming open-world action-RPG ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER, which is currently in development for release next year onto the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC, with highlight two ‘game original’ characters as well as additional story details.

Synopsis: Prison Island’s inhabitants are divided into two faction. On one side are “The Pro-Navy” who freely accepted the Marine’s control and modernisation of their island. On the other side the “Anti-Navy” citizens who prize customs, traditions and history of the island. The two newly revealed characters embody this split.

In addition to story details Bandai Namco Entertainment explained that Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, has been heavily involved with the creation of ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER and as such has overseen development of the game and its use of characters. As such two new characters have been created for this ‘exclusive’ story; and these characters are known as Isaac and Jeanne.

Original Characters:

  • Isaac is the warden of Prison Island, who helped rebuild after the war using science, and grew both his wealth and influence from that. Luffy and his crew have made little impression on him, but he seems to have and existing relationship with Lucci (CP-0 Intelligence member). He is a mysterious and enigmatic individual man.
  • Jeanne is the opposite Isaac, an Anti-Navy individual and the leader of the rebellion. She loves the Island and the way it once was and she swore an oath to protect its inhabitants and its traditions from the World Navy. She longs for peace as too many have already suffered from this needless conflict. But what will this encounter between her and Luffy bring to the Island? Peace or more conflict?

ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER is currently in development for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC and will be released next year.
