Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Release Date Announced

Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced that the ‘Definitive Edition’ of Tales of Vesperia, which is being released onto the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC, will be released on the 11th January 2019 within Europe.

Originally released onto the Xbox 360 in Europe and North America, as well as PlayStation 3 in Japan, this High Definition remaster of the fan favourite ‘Tales of’ game will be re-released onto current-gen systems with up-scaled screen resolution, characters, events, and costumes that were never released outside of Japan. This Definition Edition will also introduce two new playable party members. Flynn Scifo, the main character’s best friend and rival, and Patty Fleur, a young pirate searching for her lost memories.

In addition to these new elements TALES OF VESPERIA: Definitive Edition also uses a specialised iteration of the ‘TALES OF’ series’ Linear Motion Battle System for combat. Players control a single party member in real-time combat while other party members are controlled by a customised set of A.I. commands. Players can swap between any of the four characters at any time during battles and can perform physical attacks, Magic Artes or even powerful Mystic Artes.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC on the 11th January 2019 within Europe.
