Bleach Characters Confirmed for JUMP FORCE

Last month Bandai Namco Entertainment announced JUMP FORCE, a cross-over fighting game featuring iconic characters from the Shonen Jump universe doing battle against each other in the real [human] world and so far characters from Dragon Ball Z, One Piece and Naruto Shippuden have been confirmed (and demonstrated) as playable characters. Well today Bandai Namco Entertainment have confirmed that iconic Bleach characters will also be playable in the upcoming fighting game.

In this case Ichigo, Rukia and Aizen have confirmed as playable in JUMP FORCE with each character having characters designs from the ‘final arc’ of the Bleach manga/anime series. Just like the other characters each of these Bleach character will feature iconic moves/special attacks as seen within the anime.

  • Ichigo Kurosaki – Once a simple high school student with the ability to see ghosts, Ichigo became one of the strongest ever Shinigami (soul reapers) after his encounter with a Hollow (a spectral being) that tried to kill him.
  • Rukia Kuchiki – Rukia is a soul reaper from a noble family who specialises in Kido (the magic of the soul reapers). Her ice-type blade is considered to be amongst the most beautiful swords of the Souls Society.
  • Sōsuke Aizen – A captain of the Gotei 13, Aizen is a mysterious man. While calm on the surface, behind this serene appearance is perhaps one of the most skilled members of the Soul Society.

In addition to these characters Bandai Namco Entertainment also revealed the ‘Hong Kong’ stage; a new fighting arena which takes place in Hong Kong and has Blackbeard Ship in the background.

JUMP FORCE is currently in development for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC and is currently scheduled for release in the near future.
