Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Confirms Black Clover Blu-Ray & DVD Combo Pack Release Details

Earlier in the week we reported that a listing for the Shonen Jump anime Black Clover had appeared on Zavvi as a Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack; well today publisher Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have formally announced that they will be publishing Black Clover as a Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack in the UK, but more importantly this release is just the first installment.

Scheduled for release on the 6th August 2018 Black Clover – Part 1 will be released as a Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack and will contain ten episodes available in both English and Japanese audio. In addition to the episodic content the discs will also contain a small selection of bonus features including Cast Commentaries, Trailers and Behind the Scenes featurettes.

Synopsis: Asta and Yuno are two orphans who want the same thing: to become the Wizard King. Locked in a friendly rivalry, they work hard towards their goal. While Yuno excels at magic, Asta has a problem uncommon in this world: he has no powers! But, on the day they receive their grimoires, they surprise everyone. To reach their goal, they’ll each find their own path to greatness—with or without magic.

Black Clover – Part 1 is currently available to pre-order on Zavvi, with other retailers expected to list the product shortly, but it is scheduled to be released on the 6th October 2018 within the UK via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

I do want to buy this because the anime is great so far, but… 10 episodes for £28 😦 I would buy for maybe £20.
