As part of the Nintendo Direct E3 Presentation publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed that Dragon Ball FighterZ, the Arc System Works developed 2.5D fighting game featuring popular characters from the Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super series, would be released later this year for the Nintendo Switch.
Bandai Namco Entertainment have not provided any specific details about this Nintendo Switch version of the game, but it is expect to retain all of the elements found from the previous PS4 / Xbox One / Windows PC release of the game, such as a stand-a-lone storyline, 3-v-3 tag battles and competitive online multiplayer modes, but its not currently known if the game will include previously released DLC Characters. Judging from past experience (namely Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2) one would assume the DLC will be sold from the Nintendo Switch eShop at launch – although this has yet to be confirmed.
Synopsis: DRAGON BALL FighterZ for the Nintendo Switch will enable fans of all skill levels to truly feel like their favourite DRAGON BALL character. Featuring 3 vs. 3 battle mechanics, both new and seasoned players alike are sure to experience the epic scope of DRAGON BALL as they build their team and take them into battle. In order to build the strongest team possible, players will need to train and master more than one fighter and style. Only then will their skills be strong enough to take down the competition.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch and will be released worldwide later this year; in the meantime Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. A selection of additional character DLC is also available to purchase – with a further four characters to be released.
