Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale Collector’s Edition Details Revealed

We’ve known for awhile that Anime Limited would release Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale within the UK as a standard DVD, Standard Blu-Ray and Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray & DVD Combo Pack; but what we’ve not known is how the Collector’s Edition would be packaged and what it would contain. Well those questions have been answered as a recently published blog post has revealed what to expect.

As per the norm of ‘movie’ releases Anime Limited’s Collector’s Edition release of Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale will contain both Blu-Ray and DVD editions of the film, of which will feature both English 5.1 and Japanese 5.1 (with English subtitle) audio options, as well as a selection of bonus features including the movie edition of Sword Art OFFline, Japanese promotional trailers and a subtitled audio commentary with the Japanese director and cast.

In terms of packaging then the Collector’s Edition release will come in a rigid artbox, which has a foil finish effect applied to certain parts of the artwork,  with a digipack sleeve that holds both the DVD and Blu-Ray discs. This set will also include five art-cards and a 60-page artbook of which feature various artwork from the film.

Further details surrounding this Collector’s Edition release can be found on the official Anime Limited blog; but in the meantime Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale is scheduled to be released on the 28th May 2018 within the UK as a DVD, Blu-ray and Collector’s Edition Blu-ray & DVD Combo Pack release.
