Film4 To Broadcast My Neighbour Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service This Easter Bank Holiday

Last month we reported that Film4 had plans to broadcast some Studio Ghibli Film this upcoming Easter Bank Holiday, well the the social media accounts for the free-to-view channel have now confirmed that Hayao Miyazaki’s My Neighbour Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service will be shown during the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
Specifically My Neighbour Totoro will be broadcast on Monday 2nd April 2018 at 1:05pm while Kiki’s Delivery Service will be broadcast on Tuesday 3rd April at 12:50pm; both of which will be shown in there English Dub formats.
My Neighbour Totoro: While their mother recovers from an illness, Satsuki and her little sister Mei (voiced in English by Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning) get away from it all in an idyllic rural retreat. Far from the bustle of the city, they discover a mysterious place of spirits and magic, and the friendship of the Totoro woodland creatures.
Kiki’s Delivery Service: Adapted by Hayao Miyazaki from the children’s book by Eiko Kadono, KIKI’S DELIVERY SERVICE is a magical parable that will entertain girls and boys alike. It follows the fun filled escapades and new friendships of a young trainee witch, Kiki who must leave her family on the night of a full moon to learn her craft.
With her chatty black cat, Jiji, she flies off to find the perfect spot in a faraway city where she must live for a whole year by using her magical powers. But Kiki is poor with potions and second-rate at spells. She befriends a bakery owner and instead, Kiki sets up a courier service, using her broomstick to deliver everything from pies to pets. At first with only her sarcastic cat for company, she soon discovers that she has more friends than she ever thought possible.
Film4 have also promised that future Studio Ghibli films will be shown later in the year with possible films including Spirited Away and Howl’s Moving Castle. Film4 is available to watch on Freeview (Channel 15 and +1 on Channel 45), Freesat(Channel 300 and +1 on Channel 301), Sky (Channel 315 and +1 on Channel 316) and Virgin Media (Channel 428 and +1 on Channel 430). Those who have compatible HD devices, such as Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media, will be able to watch the films in HD.
Both My Neighbour Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service are also available on DVD and Blu-Ray within the UK via STUDIOCANAL.
