Updated TV listings have revealed that Hiroyuki Okiura’s feature-length-film A Letter To Momo and Kenji Kamiyama’s feature-length-film Napping Princess will be broadcast back-to-back on Viceland UK, which is available on Sky and Now TV, next week.
This ‘double bill’ of anime films will begin with A Letter To Momo at 6:45pm and then Napping Princess, which was recently released onto DVD and Blu-Ray within the UK, will follow at 9pm. It’s currently unknown which audio format will be used for these broadcasts; but we expect the English Dub versions of the films to be shown.
A Letter To Momo:The last time Momo saw her father, they had a fight. Now all she has left to remember him by is an incomplete letter penned with the words “Dear Momo,” but nothing more. Moving with her mother to the remote Japanese island of Shio, Momo soon discovers three Yokai living in her attic, a trio of mischievous spirit creatures that only she can see and who create mayhem in the tiny seaside community as she tries desperately to keep them hidden. But these funny monsters have a serious side and may hold the key to helping Momo discover what her father had been trying to tell her.
Napping Princess: Kokone should be diligently studying for her university entrance exams, but she just can’t seem to stay awake. Aside from stealing precious study time, her napping is even more distracting, as it brings on strange dreams with warring machines that hint at family secrets that have been dormant for years. She can’t ask her father, a hipster mechanic more talented and artful than his job requires, as he’s always busy modifying motorcycles and cars in flights of fancy. What are these visions that lead Kokone at once closer to and farther away from her family?
Both A Letter To Momo and Napping Princess have been released within the UK as a Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack and Standard DVD.
