Wolf’s Rain Ultimate Edition Details Confirmed

It has been some time since Anime Limited announced that they would be releasing Keiko Nobumoto’s TV animation Wolf’s Rain as an Ultimate Edition Blu-Ray and today the distributor have revealed what fans can expect from this release.

For this particular release fans will receive all twenty-six episodes, and the four OVA episodes, all of which will be presented in both English and Japanese with English subtitles across four Blu-Ray discs. These discs will be packaged in a Collector’s Edition style digipack packaging that folds and slides into a chipboard artbox; much like the Escaflowne Ultimate Edition release all those years ago. Alongside this fans will also receive three A3 posters, 9 Artcards and a 100-page artbook; all of which will feature artwork from the anime.

How much will this cost? £149.99 is the RRP which – considering the content including with past Ultimate Editions – seems higher than one would expect; but it does look nice and we can expect retailers to offer it at a lower price.

Wolf’s Rain has previously been released in the UK on DVD via Beez Entertainment and the series has also been released as a Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack in America via FUNimation; of which these UK Blu-Ray discs are most likely based off. In any event Wolf’s Rain Ultimate Edition will be available to order directly from Anime Limited, will be limited to 1,000 units and is scheduled to be released on the 28th May 2018.
