My Hero Academia – Season 2 Part 1 Listed on Amazon UK

It seems Attack on Titan – Season 2 won’t be the only title released in the UK under the ‘Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’ distributor label as a new listing on Amazon UK has revealed that My Hero Academia – Season 2 Part 1 will also be released within the UK via Sony.
Naturally we have yet to receive an official announcement from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, but the listing reveals that this ‘half-season-set’ will feature four discs and be distributed via Sony, otherwise known as Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for DVD and Blu-Ray releases.
In American My Hero Academia – Season 2 Part 1 is, as per the norm with FUNimation titles, being released as a Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack (with 2 discs per platforms) so considering this listing states the set will contain four discs must mean that the UK release will mimic that of the American release. A Limited Edition release also exists within America, of which contains an artbox to hold both parts and a selection of physical items, so it will be interesting to see if these items will be released within the UK as part of the UK Release. An example of the American Limited Edition contents can be seen below.
Of course majority of this is just speculation; but seeing as Universal Pictures UK Release of My Hero Academia – Season 1 is a replica of the American release, and that Sony’s upcoming UK release of Attack on Titan – Season 2 is also the same as the American release, it’s not farfetched to expect the same treatment with My Hero Academia – Season 2 Part 1.
We can expect further details surrounding this ‘mysterious’ release of My Hero Academia – Season 2 Part 1 to be revealed in the coming weeks.
