Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA Relocalization Patch Now Available to Download On PS4 & PS Vita

It has been an interesting road for NIS America’s western release of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA; but those wishing to experience the storyas originally intended will be excited to hear that the new localisation patch is available to download via the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

According to NIS America the relocalization patch includes changes in the script, item names, in-game terminology, monster names, graphical text, as well as fully re-recorded dialogue in English.

The patch file sizes for each platform are as follows:

  • PS4: 1.16 GB
  • PS Vita: 279 MB

The patch will automatically be downloaded once the game is started. For PlayStation Vita users the patch will download onto the console and replace the currently installed patch (as per the norm for PS Vita updates); but extra space may be required in order to install.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita now, with a PC (Steam) and Nintendo Switch release due later this year.
