One Piece: Grand Cruise Announced for PlayStation VR; To Be Released Next Year within Europe

Bandai Namco Entertainment have taken to the PlayStation Europe blog to announce One Piece: Grand Cruise, a PlayStation VR exclusive adventure that will see the player interact with the Straw Hat crew like never before.

Previously Bandai Namco Entertainment Japan announced the game, with many PlayStation VR players hopeful that it will make the jump to the west, and nowm just a few short days after the Japanese announcement, the western release has been confirmed. A release date has not yet been mentioned; but it will release at some time during 2018 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

Exact gameplay details on what one can expect from One Piece: Grand Cruise remain mostly unclear; but judging from the gameplay trailer (shown above) players will be ablt o defend the ship from various different enemy threats, such as the kraken and cannonballs, as well as interact with the many characters on the ship as well as get some ‘alone time’ in each of the available characters rooms.

One Piece: Grand Cruise is in development for the PlayStation 4 and will require a PlayStation VR headset in order to play. Further details will be announced in the new year.
