Dragon Ball FighterZ Introduces Beerus, Hit & Black Goku as well as Open Beta Dates Confirmed

Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced that popular characters from the Dragon Ball Super timeline, namely Beerus, Hit and Black Goku, will be included as playable characters wthin Arc System Works 2.5D fighting game Dragon Ball FighterZ.

For those unaware Beerus, along with partner Whis, were first introduced in the feature-length Dragon Ball Z film ‘Battle of Gods’ before making their TV anime debut in Dragon Ball Super. Although Beerus will be the playable character within Dragon Ball FighterZ it is ‘assumed’ that Whis, who does appear momentarily behind Beerus during his intro sequence to a fight, will act as support or tag combos – much like Android 18 wth Android 18.

Hit, the assassin from Universe 6, and Black Goku, with the kai Zamasu as a partner, were first introduced in the TV Anime Dragon Ball Super and have become popular among fans. All three characters have previously been playable within Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as downloadable content.

The news of these additional characters also comes with details that the ‘Open Beta’ will take place between the 14th and 15th January 2017 with pre-orders gaining access to the open beta on the 13th January 2017.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC from the 26th January 2017 within Europe.
