A Certain Magical Virtual-On, Atelier Lydie & Suelle and Little Witch Academia Demo’s Available on Japanese PlayStation Store

Now usually we do not cover ‘Japanese’ news, as it is unclear if they will ever be released within the west; but the news of newly released demos for multiple games (two of which are coming to the west) onto the Japanese PlayStation Store is news worth sharing.

In this case playable demos for A Certain Magical Virtual-On, a game which combines characters from A Certain Magical Index with SEGA’s Mecha-Battle game Virtua-On, Atelier Lydie & Suelle, the final entry into the Atelier Sophie timeline of games, and Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time, which is a videogame adaptation of the Little Witch Academia anime series, are all available to download from the Japanese PlayStation Store.

Naturally these demos are in Japanese only; but they do give us a rough idea of how these games will play. A Certain Magical Virtual-On is currently only planned for release in Japan and plays pretty much like the original Virtual-On games that were released onto the SEGA Saturn and SEGA Dreamcast; while Atelier Lydie & Suelle as well as Little Witch Academia: Chamber of Time both provide that JPRG experience and are coming to the PlayStation 4 early next year.

In order to download these demos you’ll just need a Japanese PlayStation Store account; a simple task and free-to-do as a PlayStation Plus Subscription is not required. Happy Gaming!
