Shantae: Half-Genie Hero ‘Ultimate Edition’ Physical Content Details Confirmed

Earlier in the year PQube Games announced that they would be releasing a ‘physical’ version of WayForward’s cartoon-themed platformer Shantae: Half-Genie Hero onto the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4; and today the publisher have confirmed what fans can expect to receive from this physical edition of the game.

This physical edition will be known as the ‘Ultimate Edition’ and will contain an art book featuring never-before-seen images from Shantae: Half-Genie Hero as well as a 30-track ‘Risky Beats’ soundtrack CD; both of which will come packaged with a physical version of the game. The game meanwhile will also contain all previously released downloadable content; such as the  ‘Pirate Queen’s Quest’ DLC, the ‘Friends To The End’ DLC and the ‘Costume Mode’ DLC.

Synopsis: As the defender of Scuttle Town, Shantae has defeated steam-powered pirates, sinister undead and a military takeover in a bid to keep her home town safe, but now, the sassy half-genie must rise to the occasion once again as the Queen of the Seven Seas, Risky Boots, plots to steal a newly discovered limitless source of power.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Edition will be available next year as both a physical and digital release on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch; with the physical edition containing the artbook and soundtrack CD. The game is also being released within America via XSEED Games.
