Capcom will be celebrating Meg -Man’s 30th Anniversary in style as the video game developer-come-publisher have not only announced a brand new Mega-Man game, known as Mega-Man 11, but Capcom have also announced plans for a Mega Man X Legacy Collection as well as Nintendo Switch releases of Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2.
Unlike past Mega Man games Mega Man 11, which will be a new mainline entry into the franchise, will feature 2.5D visuals as opposed to the iconic spirte based gameplay we have become familiar with. In this particular game a freshly redesigned Mega Man takes on Dr. Wily’s berserk machines, defeating Robot Master bosses and taking their weapons, in an ever-evolving fight for justice with new and unique enemy designs.
In addition to Mega Man II for the Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC Capcom have also announced that the previously released ‘Legacy Collections’, each of which containing half of the old-school Mega Man games, will be released onto the Nintendo Switch. Mega Man X Legacy Collection meanwhile (or something of a similar name) will feature all previously released Mega Man X games in a single collection for the Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC; all of which will receive the HD treatment.
Capcom have not announced any release window but all three are expected to be release during 2018 with further details to be confirmed.
