Three New Characters & Arcade Mode Confirmed for Dragon Ball FighterZ

The news of Dragon Ball FighterZ, which is Arc System Works 2.5D fighter based on the Dragon Ball Z franchise, continues to roll in as publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment have now confirmed three new characters as well as the existence of an Arcade mode.

Firstly the publisher confirmed that Gotenks, which is a fusion of Goten and Trunks, Kid Buu and Adult Gohan will join the list of playable characters within the game; each of which will offer unique playstyles and attacks as described below:

  • Gotenks has a short reach but rapid movements such as the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack.
  • Gohan (Adult) can change the outcome of the fight by unleashing his ultimate ability mid-game to unlock his true power!
  • Kid Buu with his high speed and power, is an expert for tricky attacks. He can stretch his arm, so reach should never be a problem!

In addition to these three new characters Bandai Namco Entertainment also confirmed that Dragon Ball FighterZ will feature an Arcade Mode whereby players will fight against a string of opponents in order to be crowned the top player; just like a regular arcade mode.

This Arcade Mode will also award players with Zeni to use in the in-game shop with additional Zeni being awarded for those who complete the high difficulty levels of the mode.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently scheduled for release onto the Xbox One, PS4 and PC early next year and we can expect more news in the coming weeks leading up to its release.
