Steamboy Now Streaming on Netflix UK

Those wishing to experience Katsuhiro Otomo’s feature-length film Steamboy before dipping into Manga Entertainment’s Blu-Ray (and DVD) release of the film will be interested to know that the video-on-demand subscription service Netflix are now streaming the film within the UK.

Unlike the home video release, which features both English & Japanese versions of the film, this Netflix version of the film is currently only available in Japanese with English subtitles; but at least the film is available for Netflix users to try out.

Synopsis: Japanese children’s animation in which a genius in-the-making inventor named Ray Steam (Anna Paquin) is given an obscure metal sphere containing a new form of energy, which is capable of producing enough power for an entire nation. This energy must be used to defeat evil and save Victorian London from potential annihilation.

Steamboy is now available as a Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack within the UK; alternatively Netflix UK subscribers can stream the film as part of there subscription.
