10tons to Release Xenoraid onto the Nintendo Switch Next Week

Once again 10tons continues to bring their back-catalogue of titles to the Nintendo Switch as the finland based games developer have now announced that the squad-based space shooter Xenoraid will be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this month.

Originally released onto mobile devices, before being ported to platforms such as the PlayStation Vita and Xbox One, Xenoraid is a wave-based space shooter that challenges players to defeat waves of enemies as part of a campaign which sees two rival factions battle it out. Unlike other space shooters Xenoraid allows players to have up to three spacecraft per mission with each craft being fully upgradable with health and weapons.

Let’s be clear Xenoraid is not a ‘squad-based-shooter’ whereby the screen is filled with allies; instead only one single craft will appear and players can switch between the three whenever they see fit. The idea is to keep all three alive as once a ship has been destroyed any items upgraded may be lost forever.

Key Features:

  • Experience dynamic shoot’em up action with no level memorization
  • Switch between four fighters in the heat of combat
  • Manage your squadron with weapon and tech upgrades
  • Master advanced shooting mechanics like fighter tilting and weapon heat
  • Fight through a Campaign mode with more than 40 missions and four boss fights
  • Compete in three endless Survival stages with online leaderboards

Backstory aside 10tons plans to release Xenoraid on the 17th November 2017 as a digital download from the Nintnedo Switch eShop.
