10tons To Release Spellspire onto Nintendo Switch Next Week

Finland based games developer 10tons once again continues to support the Nintendo’s hybrid by bringing back-catalogue titles to the console; and this time the developer have announced that they will be bringing Spellspire to the Nintendo Switch.

Available from the Nintendo Switch eShop from the 7th November 2017, and priced at $9.99 USD, Spellspire is a word-based-RPG game that sees players embark on a quest to clim all 100 levels of the tower

Synopsis: Spellspire casts the player in the role of a nerdy wizard climbing a 100 level tower. Plenty of monsters must be defeated and loot collected on the way. Combat uses a word game mechanic, where the player picks letters from a grid of ten letters to spell words. Words are cast out as spells, with longer words producing more powerful blasts. In between levels the player upgrades the wizard’s gear in role-playing game fashion.

Key Features:

  • Exciting mashup of word game and action role playing game
  • Pick letters to spell words
  • Collect gold and buy better items between levels
  • Use consumable magical items to push through tough encounters

Spellspire has previously been released onto iOS & Android devices as well as the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Steam; and starting from next week the game will find its new home on the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop.
