Once again Anime Limited opted to do things differently at the MCM London Comic Con as unlike last time, which saw a wall at there booth updated with new license announcements, this time it was replaced with a list of Soundtrack CD’s coming from the anime distributor.
That’s correct; Anime Limited’s major announcement of the weekend was that they would be releasing a selection of soundtrack CD’s for various different anime titles; with the first confirmed titles being A Silent Voice, Trigun and Trigun: Badlands Rumble. Further details will be confirmed later next year but if you enjoy listening to the soundtrack featured within anime then it is worth keeping an eye out for future updates.
In addition to the Music announcement the distributor, through multiple panels throughout the weekend, went on to clarify some future anime titles. In this case Anime Limited will release Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust & Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale within the UK next year; while The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is being released as individual seasons with the discs for Season 1 being authored by Anime Limited themselves.
The partnership with Nozomi Entertainment in America, which saw Martain Successor Nadeisco being released, continues to expand as Anime Limited announced that they would be releasing Junjo Romantica and Revolutionary Girl Utena onto Blu-ray. As per usual further details will be confirmed in due time; but we can expect both Collector’s Edition and Standard Edition variations.
Finally the distributor are looking into bringing Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry to Blu-ray and DVD, most likely in partnership with FUNimation, and that previously announced titles Sound! Euphonium and Rakugo Shinjuu will no longer be released via Anime Limited and in turn have been cancelled. Furthermore Wolf’s Rain has been pushed back until next year so that additional content can be added to the release.
As mentioned Anime Limited will confirm further details of each of these titles in the near future.
