Anime Limited To Show First Episode of Violet Evergarden at MCM London Comic Con

Those attending the MCM London Comic Con this weekend will be interested to know that Anime Limited will be showing the first episode of Kyoto Animation’s upcoming anime series Violet Evergarden at the event; as announced on the Anime Limited blog.

Specifically on Saturday 28th October 2017 at 1:30pm in the Platinum Theatre Anime Limited will show the first episode of Kyoto Animation’s 2018 aime series Violet Evergarden; a show which sees Violet begin her journey as an Auto Memories Doll and encountering the different emotions of the people.

Synopsis: “A certain point in time, in the continent of Telesis. The great war which divided the continent into North and South has ended after four years, and the people are welcoming a new generation. Violet Evergarden, a young girl formerly known as “the weapon”, has left the battlefield to start a new life at CH Postal Service. There, she is deeply moved by the work of “Auto Memories Dolls”, who carry people’s thoughts and convert them into words. Violet begins her journey as an Auto Memories Doll, and comes face to face with various people’s emotions and differing shapes of love.

There are words Violet heard on the battlefield, which she cannot forget. These words were given to her by someone she holds dear, more than anyone else. She does not yet know their meaning but she searches to find it.”

The series will be broadcast in Japan next year, with simulcast details to be confirmed; but MCM London Comic Con attendees will be able to watch the first episode (with english subtitles) at the venue. It’s worth nothing that after the ths thirty-minute event the Little Witch Academia panel will take place; so we’d suggest getting to the Platinum theatre early to avoid disappointment.

In addition to the news of Violet Evergarden being shown at this October’s MCM London Comic Con the distributor have confirmed that they will release the series on Blu-ray and DVD within the UK; however details will not be revealed until (at least) broadcasting has finished.
