Bandai Namco Entertainment have revealed that Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, the upcoming SAO Game in development by DIMPS that is based upon events within the Gun Gale Online (GGO) Arc of the Sword Art Online universe, will focus on the players ‘created character’ rather than Kirito and his friends.
In this case players will be able to create their own character using a variety of different customisation options, such as gender, appearance and status (such as Strength, Vitality, Inteligence, Agility etc), which will be used in Single-Player, Multi-Player and Co-Op gameplay modes.
As explained by the publisher once the player has created their own virtual avatar, they will be logged into Gun Gale Online (GGO) to take part in an incredible adventure joined by Kureha and Zeliskam. As part of this adventure players will be helped by ArFA-Sys (Artificial Financial Adviser System). This new support AI addition will be extremely powerful and important to the player during the journey through GGO and will offer different abilities that can aid the player in their mission.
Specific story details surrounding Sword Art Online: Falat Bullet, other than those mentioned above, have yet to be revealed; but at least we now know that the game will focus on a player-created-character rather than Kirito – which is of course a drastic change from the norm. Naturally Kirito and Sinon, as shown in the original announcement trailer, will play a role within the game; but for now it seems the attention is on the player-created-character.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bulletis currently in development for the the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC with the game expected to be released next year.
