PQube Games To Release Shantae: Half-Genie Hero as an ‘Ultimate Edition’ Within Europe


PQube Games have announced that they will be releasing WayForward’s colourful 2D spirte-styled platformer Shantae: Half-Genie Hero onto the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch within Europe next year.

Originally released onto the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS, as well as planned for release onto the Nintendo Switch by WayForward and XSEED Games for release shortly in America, comes the ‘Ultimate Edition’ of the game which will feature the original base game along with The Pirate Queen’s Quest, and the upcoming Friends Mode and Costumes Mode DLC – all of which will feature improved HD visuals.

Synopsis: As the defender of Scuttle Town, Shantae has defeated steam-powered pirates, sinister undead and a military takeover in a bid to keep her home town safe, but now, the sassy half-genie must rise to the occasion once again as the Queen of the Seven Seas, Risky Boots, plots to steal a newly discovered limitless source of power.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero – Ultimate Edition will be available next year as both a physical and digital release on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch with further release details to be confirmed in the near future.
