Netflix Announce Six Original Anime & License CannonBusters for Streaming

The online subscription based video-on-demand giant Netflix have announced that they plan to produce six original anime series for streaming on their service during 2018; additionally the video-on-demand giant also announced that they would be streaming CannonBusters, an anime based upon a comic book series of the same name and produced in conjunction with creator LeSean Thomas.

The announcements were made at the Netflix Anime Slate 2017 event during the Tokyo International Forum and saw members of the company reveal that the following six titles were being produced exclusively for Netflix.

  • A.I.C.O.: Incarnation
  • B: The Beginning
  • Baki
  • Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya
  • Lost Song
  • Sword Gai The Animation

In addtion Netflix also confirmed that they would be streaming these titles on their service in the near future:

  • Cannonbusters
  • Devilman Crybaby
  • Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters
  • Fate/Apocrypha
  • Rilakkuma

Details on which countries these titles will be streamed, or when they will become available to Stream on Netflix, have yet to be announced but most titles will not be available until next year.

As per usual in order to watch any of these a Netflix Subscription is required and further details of each will be revealed closer to their streaming dates.
