Glasgow Film Theatre Begin Japanese Animation Season

It seems getting Japanese Anime onto the Big Screen has become a bit of a success as the Glasgow Film Theatre have begun a Japanese Animation Season as part of their ‘Drawing Inspiration’ selection of films.

The campaign began yesterday (26th July 2017) with Mamoru Hosoda’s The Boy and the Beast, which comes to Blu-ray and DVD via STUDIOCANAL on the 4th September 2017, however throughout the remainder of July and September anime fans in Glasgow will be able to experience a wide selection of anime films on the big screen; with titles including A Silent Voice, Your Name, Akira and Napping Princess being apart of the line-up.

Sunday 30th July 2017:

  • 14:00 – Howl’s Moving Castle

Wednesday 2nd August 2017:

  • 18:00 – How’s Moving Castle

Sunday 6th August 2017:

  • 14:15 – Your Name

Wednesday 9th August 2017:

  • 18:15 – Your Name

Sunday 13th August 2017:

  • 13:00 – AKIRA

Wednesday 16th August 2017:

  • 18:15 – AKIRA

Sunday 20th August 2017:

  • 15:15 – Napping Princess

Wednesday 23rd August 2017:

  • 18:15 – Napping Princess

Sunday 27th August 2017:

  • 13:45 – A Silent Voice

Wednesday 30th August 2017:

  • 20:05 – A Silent Voice
