Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker, which sounds like a football/soccer spin-off featuring popular Naruto characters, will be the latest entry into the intense shinobi battling action videogame series and today Bandai Namco Entertainment have revealed some new details on what you can expect from the game.
For starters Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker will be an online-centric team-based battle game whereby teams of up to four players battle it out for victory in various gameplay modes. These gameplay modes are separated into different sections with the ‘Main Mode’ offering Barrier Battle, which sees the two teams battle each-other in attempt to destory the boss character entrapped by a barrier, and Flag Battle, which sees players attempt to steal each others flags in an attempt to claim a point.
In addition to the ‘Main’ battle options Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker will also offer ‘Mission’ modes which allow players to team up into groups of four to defeat boss characters, such as Scared Beasts, or escort characters to a specific section of the map.
Naturally gameplay modes and character selections are limited, as we expect more to be announced in due course; but each character will also feature a ‘Class Type’ with each class offering a different type of ability and skill. For example:
- Attack-type fighters such as Naruto Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake and Pain will have powerful, fast and strong attacks.
- Ranged-type fighters such as Sasuke Uchiha, Itachi Uchiha and Konan who are famous for their long-distance attacks.
- Defense-type fighters like Kisame Hoshigaki who are able to reinforce his defense.
- Heal-type fighters like Sakura Haruno will be able to heal themselves and other players.
Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker is shaping-up to be an entirely different gameplay experience when compared to past Naruto titles and it seems it will focus heavily on gameplay and multiplayer aspects than the traditional Naruto storyline and it’s 1-v-1 fighting game roots. Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker is currently planned for release onto the Xbox One, PS4 and PC next year.
