Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Release Date Pushed Back to January 2018

Those who are looking forward to LEVEL-5’s upcoming sequel Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be disappointed to learn that the game has been delayed until January 2018.

According to Akihiro Hino, who is of course the CEO and President of the world-renowned video game studio LEVEL-5 Inc, the delay is to allow additional development time on the game so that it can provide fans with the ultimate Ni No Kuni experience.

“We have decided that more development time is required in order to deliver the full Ni no Kuni II experience to our fans. I deeply apologise to those who have been looking forward to the game’s release. Please rest assured, however, that we will continue to strive to provide a deep and satisfying single player experience that our fans can look forward to enjoying.’, said Akihiro Hino CEO and President of LEVEL-5 Inc.”

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was originally announced for the PlayStation 4 two years ago and it was only last month that Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed it’s european release date; so it comes as a surprise that the game has now received a several month delay. Naturally a delay is disappointing news especially when the game looked, and played, exceptionally well during preview events shown across the globe; but alas if the delay is to make the game better than it is all for a good cause.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was previously announced for a 10th November 2017 release but it will now be released onto the PS4 and PC from the 19th January 2018.
