The Napping Princess UK Cinema Dates Confirmed

Although it was announced at the Anime Limited booth at last months MCM London Comic Con the UK Distributor, Anime Limited, have now provided some additional details surrounding their UK Cinematic release of Kenji Kamiyama’s feature-length-film The Napping Princess.

For starters The Napping Princess will be available in Japanese with English subtitles in cinemas across the UK on the 16th August 2017 with additional screenings taking place at selective locations on the 18th August 2017. It is assumed that a wide variety of cinemas will only show the film on these dates but some may choose to extend and offer it at different dates; although these details will become available on each individual cinema website.

Synopsis: Could dreams and reality be more connected than we thought? Kokone (Mitsuki Takahata) is a young girl who should be studying for exams but can’t stay awake. Her father, a hipster mechanic too talented for his post. Venturing into the realms of her tired fantasies, the young girl discovers a world aflutter with magic and warring robots, but could these visions be more than mere illusion – the key to family secrets once locked away? And once unearthed, will they bring Kokone closer to her family, or drive them further apart?

So there we have it; The Napping Princess will be available in Cinemas across the UK from the 16th August 2017 with additional ‘selective cinemas’ showing the film on the 18th August 2017. It’s expected that tickets will be made available to pre-book from a dedicated website shortly.
