New Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory Details Revealed

Earlier in the year Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that they would be releasing Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory, the sequel to the previous Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth game, on to the PS4 and PS Vita later this year; however since this announcement details of the game have been relatively scarce.

That is until today as Bandai Namco Entertainment have not only released a selection of English translated screenshots but also provided an insight in to what players can expect from the games story and characters within it; as explained below:

The conflict between hackers has erupted in the digital world! The battle for the ultimate power has begun. Yuugo – a talented and charismatic hacker leading the biggest hacker group called Zaxon will fight for their rights against Jude (the legendary hacker team) lead by the former hacker Aarata Sanada and other crews. Join the Hudie faction lead by Ryuji Mishima and fight till victory.

In addition to the story details the publisher went on to reveal details of the games Domination Battle; a gameplay option which sees battles between a group of hackers attempting to take control of the server domain:

Domination Battle is a battle between groups of hackers for the control over the server domain in the digital world. Proceed in a group battle and experience a strategy game warfare, unlike any other battles in the game.

In Domination Battle there are two different teams: Ally team & Enemy team than will battle in the network area. Both teams will start on neutral state, and the color of the area will change according to the team (Blue/Red) when a character steps into it. The aim is to fight for these areas and collect area points to win the fight.

Finally; to celebrate the franchises 20th Anniversary Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory will also feature Duramon and all its 3 Digivolutions as a playable character.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory is expected to be released later this year for the PS4 (in both digital and physical forms) and PS Vita (in digital forms) with release date details to be announced in the near future.
