PS Vita Release of Shu Delayed; New Content Added to PS4 This Week

Those looking forward to the PS Vita release of Shu will be disappointed to learn that the game has been pushed back until the 30th May due to “unforeseen technical issues”.

Originally Coatsink, developers of the 2.5D platformer, were originally expecting to release the PS Vita version of the game alongside the free content update; however due to this new ‘technical developments’ the PS Vita version is being released a week later (on the 30th May 2017) while the team iron out of the bugs. This new release date only applies to the European release of the game as a American and Japanese release date will be confirmed shortly. On a positive note the the PS Vita version will include the all-new DLC levels plus the exclusive trophy area, The Refuge.

In the meantime however the free content update, which will be available for the 23rd May 2017 for the PS4 version of the game, will add six new levels which include the three levels which were launched on Steam last month. Steam users will receive an update to receive the remainder three levels on the same day.

The Six levels are called Beneath the Ruins, No Turning Back, Depths of Discovery, Chase Through Chambers, Deep Dash and Conquering the Caverns, These levels use the same villagers you find in the main game but will be collected in a different order.

Shu is now available for the PS4 and PC (via Steam) and you can read our thoughts on the game in our review of the PS4 version.
