Anime Limited are once again giving A Silent Voice another theatrical run in UK cinemas this month; except this time the film will be presented with English ‘Hard of Hearing’ subtitles.
The film, which will be available to view at selective Showcase Cinemas throughout the UK on Tuesday 16th May 2016, will be presented in Japanese with English ‘hard of hearing’ subtitles thus allowing everyone to enjoy the film. As part of this presentation the subtitles will not only display dialogue but the sound effects and music that occur throughout the film – thus making this the first anime film to do so in cinemas.
List of Cinemas showing the films:
- Bluewater
- Bristol CDL
- Cardiff
- Leeds
- Leicester
- Nottingham
- Peterborough
- Reading
- Southampton
A Silent Voice has been available in UK cinemas since the middle of March and now a selective film selection of cinemas will be showing the film with hard of hearing subtitles. It is expected that Anime Limited will release the film on Blu-ray and DVD next year with further details to be confirmed, but the film will be available to purchase through digital platforms later this month.
