Anime Limited & FUNimation UK Confirm Release Date Amendments to Upcoming Titles

A newly published newswire on the Anime Limited blog reveals that a ‘wide-selection’ of upcoming Anime Limited and FUNimation UK titles have been delayed by up to several weeks; with most being pushed back by one week.

A full list of release date amendments can be seen below:

Anime Limited:

• Assassination Classroom – Season 2 Part 1: Originally scheduled for release on the 5th June 2017 this set is now being pushed back to 19th June 2017 due to production taking longer than expected.
• ERASED – Part 1: Originally scheduled for release on the 26th June 2017 this set is now being pushed back to an unannounced date due to a delay in delivery or production materials. This title however is still expected to be released during 2017.
• GANGSTA – The Complete Series: Originally scheduled for release on the 26th June 2017 this set is now being pushed back to an unannounced date due to a delay in delivery or production materials. This title however is still expected to be released during 2017.
• Prison School – The Complete Series: Originally scheduled for release on the 29th May 2017 this set is now being pushed back to the 12th June 2017 due to ‘extra care’ being taken during its production. On a positive note Prison School has passed BBFC certification and has received an 18 rating with the footage remaining completely uncut.
• Selector Infected WIXOSS – The Complete Series: Originally scheduled for release on the 15th May 2017 this set is now being pushed back a week to the 22nd May 2017. According to Anime Limited an unforeseen production delay occurred but it was quickly rectified so that the delay was kept to a minimum.
• Sword of the Stranger: Originally scheduled for release during early 2017 this set is now being pushed back to an unannounced date due to a delay in delivery or production materials. This title however is still expected to be released during 2017.
• Tokyo Ghoul – OVA Collection: Originally scheduled for release during early 2017 this set is now being pushed back to an unannounced date due to a delay in delivery or production materials. This title however is still expected to be released during 2017.

FUNimation UK:

• Noragami Arogoto – The Complete Series: Originally scheduled for release on the 29th May 2017 this set is now being pushed back to the 19th June 2017 due to production taking longer than expected.

As per usual these release dates are tentative and could change without notice; but Anime Limited will keep us informed if (or when) the dates change again.

In some ‘positive’ news the previously exclusive Kickstarter project, Mai Mai Miracle, will be getting its own retail-wide-release with the film being available as a Standard Edition Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack release with the film expected to be available on general sale from the 19th June 2017.
