It has been quite some time since we had an update surrounding Anime Limited’s Blu-ray release of Black Butler: Book of Circus and FUNimation UK’s Blu-ray release of Overlord; however a recent update on the Anime Limited blog finally sheds some light on what we can expect from these two releases.
For starters both Black Butler: Book of Circus and Overlord will receive the Collector’s Edition treatment with each set being presented in a chipboard art box with a selection of artcards.
Black Butler: Book of Circus: Anime Limited’s Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release of Black Butler: Book of Circus will feature all ten episodes of the series in English and Japanese (with English subtitles) with the discs themselves packaged inside a carded digi-pack sleeve that slots into a chipboard artbox alongside a selection of artcards that features artwork from the series.
This Collector’s Edition release of Black Butler: Blood of Circus is expected to be released on the 12th June 2017.
Overlord: FUNimation UK’s Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release of Overlord on the otherhand will see all thirteen episodes of the series in English and Japanese (with English subtitles) on two blu-ray discs with the disc themselves slotted into two standard amaray cases each with their own artwork sleeves. These two amaray cases will slot inside a chipboard artbox, which is of course a similar design to the artboxes FUNimation use for their Limited Edition releases in America, and will also come packaged with a selection of artcards.
This Collector’s Edition release of Overlord is expected to be released on the 12th June 2017.
Further information surrounding both of these releases, as well as a closer look at Anime Limited’s upcoming Blu-ray release of Your Lie in April – Part 2, can be found on the official Anime Limited blog.
