Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization’s DLC Content Announced as Abyss of the Shrine Maiden


It has been six month since Bandai Namco Entertainment released Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization onto the PS4 and PS Vita within Europe and since then details on the Season Pass, which came bundled with Digital Deluxe Editions of the game, have remained a complete mystery; but today publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment have finally provided some much needed information in the form of the first DLC chapter included with the Season Pass.

The DLC Content is known as Abyss of the Shrine Maiden and the first chapter, which releases on the 16th May 2017, will put players in control of Kirito and his friends as they explore a new stage within the Aincrad Castle which is filled with various enemies and environments to explore.

In addition to this brand new location the Abyss of the Shrine Maiden will also come with the following content:

  • Heroine Quest – where you will have the chance to add Asuna, Lisbeth, Silica and Premiere as heroines in the first chapter.
  • Enigma Order Quest – where you can acquire the precious Fuse Paragon, Mystic and Ultana GP.
  • Items and skills-  for becoming powerful as never before.
  • Customization –  change the appearance of the main characters.

In addition to details of this first chapter Bandai Namco Entertainment went on to tease details from the second and third chapters; in this case future content will see the scenario reversed and will allow two characters, namely Alice and Eugeo, to be playable alongside new quests.

Further details will be confirmed in the coming weeks; but for the time being this first chapter of the Abyss of the Shrine Maiden for Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization will be available from the 16th May 2017. Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization meanwhile is now available for the PS4 & PS Vita.
