Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception European Release Date Announced

Deep Silver have today announced that visual-novel styled RPG Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception will be released on the 23rd May 2017 for the PS4 and PS Vita; meanwhile it’s sequel, known as Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth, will be released later in the year.

To celebrate this announcement Deep Silver have released a new gameplay trailer which highlights some of the gameplay elements one can expect to receive from this game as well as a glance at it’s story.

It’s not all adventures and questing for the mysterious amnesiac. When the bloodthirsty Uzurusha warlord Gundhurua decides to invade the mighty nation of Yamato, everyone, including Haku and his friends, will get thrust into the midst of war. Although Haku would much prefer, you know, not fighting in a war, the great Yamato general Oshtor enlists his help in defending innocent civilians from certain doom. Even though he may not be the strongest fighter, he is a gifted strategist who can use his mind against his enemies’ brawn. Will his intelligence be able to carry him through this volatile time?

Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception will be released on the 23rd May 2017 for both the PS4 and PS Vita. The PS Vita version will be released digitally whereas the PS4 version will receive a limited physical release within Europe.
