The Nintendo Switch officially launches today across the globe and although the physical line-up isn’t particular strong, as only around five games are being released alongside the console, it’s digital-download offering is much more forgiving and one of those titles is Circle Entertainment and Fly High Studios Switch port of VOEZ; a rhythm based music game that can only be played using the touch-screen on the Nintendo Switch.
This game, which should now be available to purchase from the Nintendo Switch eShop, is priced at £18.99 / €20.99 / $24.99 and will feature 116 songs pre-built in to the game with additional content being planned for the future. Although VOEZ can not be played in ‘dock mode’ – which of course means that the gameplay content is displayed on the TV screen – it promises to offer several hours worth of gaming entertainment.
So; why exactly do we mention this? Well despite the main gameplay featuring rhythm based mechanics the introductory levels, and in turn some of the backgrounds, are feature anime styled artwork so we thought we would give it a mention. You can check out some of the gameplay yourself in the recently released gameplay trailer but in the meantime VOEZ is now available within the UK, Europe, America and Japan.
