Earlier in the year Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed that the second Dragon Ball Super DLC Pack for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 would introduce Champa and Vados from Universe 6 as playable characters into the game. Well today the distributor have ‘expanded’ upon this information by not only confirming a release date but also announcing another FREE update pack for fans.
For starters the Dragon Ball Super DLC Pack 2 will be released on the 27th February 2017 and will contain (as previously confirmed) both Champa and Vados as playable characters and the Universe 6 fighting stage. In addition to this fans will receive 8 Attacks, 3 Costumes, a brand new mode of transport (Saiyan pod) and a selection of new emotes for you to use in the lobby.
Interestingly enough that’s not all; as this second piece of content will also unlock access to the Universe 6 Story Chapter. Details on this are relatively vague but we suspect it will allow fans to replay the events of the Universe 6 arc of the Dragon Ball Super arc in video game form.
Pricing details for Dragon Ball Super DLC Pack 2 have not been mentioned but we suspect it will be priced at £7.99; alternatively those who own the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Season Pass will receive this DLC pack for free.
Bizarrely enough that’s not all; as Bandai Namco Entertainment have also confirmed that a free dlc expansion pack will also be made available. This free piece of DLC will unlock the following content for use in the game:
- New costumes: Zangya & Bido.
- Android 15’s Clothes and Metal Cooler’s Suit
- 2 New Expert Missions: Broly and Janemba
- 5 New Attacks
- New Rules for the Tenkaichi Tournament
- Character Tenkaichi: All players will have to fight with the same one character, such as “Goku Tenkaichi”, “Yamcha Tenakichi” or “Pan Tenkaichi”
- Group Tenkaichi: For example the “GT Cup”, players can only choose GT characters.
- Tenkaichi Tournament Jersey
Details on how this free piece of content will distributed remains to be seen; but the previous piece of free content was issued via Bandai Namco’s own VIP Reward system.
In any event; the second round of DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be released on the 27th February 2017 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
