Anime Limited have revealed in a recent blog post that their upcoming Collector’s Edition release of Gurren Lagann, which combines the original TV series with the two feature-length-films into a single collection, will be a timed exclusive at Zavvi with other retailers to list the product after a set time-frame.

For those unaware, and as previously mentioned, the Collector’s Edition of Gurren Lagann will combine the original TV series (which has been remastered in High Definition) along with the two feaut-length-films (of which have also been remastered in High Definition) that retell the events of the anime series and the mini-episodes known as the Parallel Works collection.

In addition to this the episodes will be packaged in two standard amaray cases (one for the TV Series and another for the movie collection – of which both will be released on their own) along with a 40-page booklet and come neatly packaged in a chipboard artbox with brand new artwork (all of which is illustrated below).

Basically; its a trimmed-down version of the Ulitmate Edition which Anime Limited released back in 2014 as despite the large box, and the large book, the disc contents and presentation will be exactly the same. Loathe it or love it it is an interesting set and it is ideal for those who wish to pick-up the collection.

You can find further information on this Collector’s Edition release of Gurren Lagann from the Anime Limited blog; but it will be released on Blu-ray later this year as a timed-exclusive with Zavvi.
