Amazon UK continues to expand it’s anime streaming collection for Prime members as following on from the recent additions of ViVid Strike!, Chi’s Sweet Adventure and The Great Passage the online retail giant have now added Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and it’s sequels Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS.
It may seem like a random addition to the service but ViVid Strike!, which is one of the first anime titles Amazon UK added to their Amazon Video service, is actually a spin-off of the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha franchise but for anime fan it is exceedingly good news as this franchise has yet to receive an official UK release but now Amazon Prime members can watch the series as part of their subscription via the website or compatible app.
It’s also worth mentioning that all three seasons, along with ViVid Strike!, are available in Japanese with English subtitles.
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha isn’t the only new addition to the service; as other ‘american-anime-styled’ series have also been added to the service, namely Battle Disc and Swiss Family Robinson. All these new additions have been added to Amazon Video Amazon Prime Members; so if you have an Amazon Prime subscription you will be able to watch these as part of your yearly subscription.
So does this increase the chances of physical releases?
It’s impossible to say; but one could hope.
