In a rather surprising discovery UK Distributor Anime Limited will be releasing the Gurren Lagann Movie Collection, which consists of Childhoods End, The Lights in the Sky are Stars and the Parallel Works, as a stand-a-lone Blu-ray release next year.

Previously these two movies, which retell the events of the anime TV series, and the Parallel Works Collection were only available as part of the Gurren Lagann Ultimate Edition but from the 6th February 2017 the movie collection will be available to everyone in this standard Blu-ray set. To cement this fact even more a tentative, but potentially final boxart, for the product has also been released; as illustrated below:

It’s expected that the disc content will be exactly the same as those released with the Ultimate Edition collection several years ago, so no need to double dip for fans that own that set.

The Gurren Lagann Movie Collection is currently available to pre-order from Amazon UK; meanwhile the series itself is available to purchase as a Complete Series collection on both DVD and Blu-ray.
