Manga Entertainment UK Recalls Yu-Gi-Oh! GX – Season 1 Due to Manufacturing Issue

If you recently purchased Manga Entertainment UK’s DVD release of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX – Season 1 this week then you will want to return it; as the UK Anime Distributor have today issued a recall on the product due to a manufacturing issue discovered on the final retail variations of the set.

Announcement: due to a manufacturing issue, Yu-Gi-Oh GX S1 has been recalled. You can return your copy for a full refund and fixed stock will be available in a few weeks’ time. We sincerely apologise for the frustration & inconvenience caused.

It’s currently unclear what this manufacturing issue entails but considering that Manga UK have issued a product recal on the set means that it must be something relatively important. Apparently the issue is that Disc 2 of Yu-GI-Oh! GX – Season 1 actually plays Disc 2 of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s (Thanks Denny!)

Bizarrely enough it’s not the first Manga UK release to be recalled; as previously in the year a Naruto Shippuden DVD set had to be recalled and re-manufactered due to the DVD Menu being missing and audio formats being inaccessible.

In any event Manga UK will be fixing the issue and releasing the set again in the coming weeks; with further details to be confirmed.
