It’s been awhile since we heard anything from Universal Pictures UK regarding their ‘Collectors Edition’ releases of anime titles; but throughout the past week that news has changed as the entertainment company recently unveiled their collectors edition contents for The Heroic Legend of Arslan – Season 1 Part 2; a set which is due out on DVD and Blu-ray later this year.

As per with previous ‘anime’ releases from Universal Pictures UK The Heroic Legend of Arslan – Season 1 Part 2 will come packaged in a chipboard artbox, with a digipack sleeve for the discs (DVD or Blu-ray), as well as a selection of physical content such as 12 art cards, a selection of character cards, a double-sided poster and a 100-page book featuring character profiles and artwork from the show.

Compared to the previous Season 1 Part 1 release the physical content is relatively scarce, with artcards and artbook taking up most of the space; but it does contain more physical content than your traditional Collector’s Edition set.

Interestingly enough that’s not all; as Universal Pictures UK went on to explain that those who pre-order this set from selective retailers in the UK will also receive a bonus Ferid Bathory card. The Ferid Bathory card will also be offered at selective events (such as MCM Comic Con) will stock lasts.
