Eureka Entertainment To Release Osamu Tezuka’s Metropolis as a Limited Edition Steelbook Next Year

Earlier in the year you may recall that Eureka Entertainment, a UK distributor for a wide-range of classic films, announced that it would be releasing Osamu Tezuka’s animated feature-length-film Metropolis on Blu-ray. Well today the distributor have not only announced it’s release date; but they have also revealed that it will be released as a Limited Edition Steelbook.

Specifically Metropolis will be released as a Limited Edition Steelbook on the 16th January 2017 while a standard Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack edition will be released on the 13th March 2017. It’s slightly bizarre how Eureka Entertainment are releasing the editions months apart; but at least anime fans are treated to something special whichever version of the film you choose.

Specific details on what to expect from the disc, such as bonus features and audio options, have not yet been provided; but we suspect that it will at least feature both the English and Japanese dub tracks. As it stands further details surrounding Eureka Entertainment’s Blu-ray release will be revealed in due course; but the film will be released early next year on Blu-ray.
