Fullmetal Alchemist: Ultimate Edition Blu-ray Delayed by Several Weeks

Those hoping to get their hands on the luxurious, and potentially expensive, Ultimate Edition Blu-ray release of Fullmetal Alchemist this month will be disappointed to hear that the set has been delayed until further notice by around two weeks.
Why exactly? Well according to an e-mail sent to customers who pre-ordered the product the delay is due to production of the certificate, which will feature a unique identification number as well as a personalised ‘alchemist’ name approved by King Bradley himself, taking longer than initally expected.
Basically Anime Limited are wanting to include the certificate with the Ultimate Edition sets however as the certificates are not yet produced the entire release has been pushed back by a few weeks until production of the certificate has been finished; at which point the sets, along with the certificates, will be sent out as originally intended.
Hello,
Jeremy from Anime Limited here. I’m writing to you to give a quick update on your order of Fullmetal Alchemist Ultimate Edition.
I’m delighted to say that the stock will be arriving shortly at our warehouse. However there has been a slight delay on the printing of the certificate that will be coming with your order. This was due to us wanting to make absolutely sure that all of the information was correct, hence our recent e-mail to you. As we are intending to ship both at the same time there will be small delay in you receiving your order. We are sorry this small delay has occurred, but given this is such a unique product we are offering we hope you understand why this has happened.
At this stage we anticipate your order to be shipped from our supplier within the next few wekes. We will continue to update you on this, and once your order has shipped, you will receive an e-mail notification confirming this.
To make absolutely clear, this small delay is impacting all orders for this product, be it ordered from us or elsewhere.
We also wanted to take a moment to let you know that the weight of the entire box that you will receive will be in the region of 8kg.
I hope this helps but if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Kind regards,
Jeremy
As explained in the e-mail above Anime Limited hopes to begin distributing these sets within the next few weeks; so those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition set should receive them well before christmas. The e-mail also explains that this issue effects orders made at both the Anime Limited Shop and at Zavvi and that further information, as well as an expected delivery date, will be provided at a late date.
Those uninterested in this ‘Ultimate Edition’ variation of Fullmetal Alchemist will be excited to hear that the Collector’s Edition sets, each of which feature half of the series, should be available to purchase from Anime Limited’s booth at the upcoming MCM London Comic Con that’s taking place this weekend.
