Root Letter Release Date Revealed Along with a New English Trailer


PQube continues to impress the anime-gaming-community as following on from last weeks release of Valkyrie Drive, and today’s earlier release date announcement for BlazBlue: Central Fiction, the publisher have now announced that Root Letter (alternatively known as √Letter) will be released on the 28th October 2016 within the UK and Europe with an american release to follow on the 1st November 2016.

As explained by PQube Root Letter is a visual novel game that takes place within Shimane, one of Japan’s most beautiful prefectures, and is centered around an investigation into missing pen friend, Fumino Aya, whereby after 15 years of silence from her he receives a letter explaining that she had committed a terrible act. It’s revealed that this letter was initally sent fifteen years ago and now the player must unravel the mystery of her disappearence by visiting Shimane and questioning those most connected with her at the time. As with most visual-novel games the player has ‘very little’ interaction however decisions made in the past will ultimately effect the future.

It will be available exclusively for the PS4 and PS Vita, in both digital and retail forms, from the 28th October 2016 within the UK and Europe as well as 1st November 2016 within America.
