Bandai Namco Entertainment have today revealed some interesting new details surrounding the release of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization, an action-adventure styled JPRG that’s currently due for release on the PS4 and PS Vita on the 8th November 2016; namely the announcement of a Season Pass as well as a bonus offer for VIP Reward Members.
To start with Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization will receive a Season Pass; exactly what the Season Pass will contain and how much it will cost have not been revealed but it will unlock access to three different sets of DLC Packs which are expected to add additional quests (possibly even characters) to the game. We do know however that those who purchase the Season Pass will receive exclusive access the Navy Blue Swimwear, the White Swimwear and the Wedding Dress outfits.
In addition to the Season Pass ‘teaser’ Bandai Namco Entertainment went on to reveal that Bandai Namco VIP Members will be able to claim a download code for a special Maid Costume. This VIP Reward can be accessed from the Bandai Namco Entertainment website and 1 code will be offered per account from the games launch day for a limited time. The VIP Member scheme from Bandai Namco Entertainment is similar to Nintendo’s Club Nintendo feature whereby purchasing games and activating the codes inside on the website you can redeem points which can later be exchanged for items. In this instance the Maid Costume is expected to be given out for free and for a limited time.
Finally the publisher went on to explain that Blacksmiths will make a return in Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization which will allow players to create, customise and upgrade their weapons and that new areas of the hub world, known as Transition Gate Square, have been unveiled.
New places from the Town of the Beginning have also been revealed. Players can walk across the Transition Gate Square, where all adventures are available through gates, buy items in the Shopping Arcade, take in a wonderful view of the town in the Observation Platform, visit the Park by the Lake which is full of cafés and stores, and finally head to the Room of Kirito, where players can customize their avatars and discuss plans with their team mates.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization will be available from the 8th November 2016 for the PS4 and PS Vita in both digital and retail forms.
